Carter Cajthaml Comets’ lone representative on the All-NEIC Baseball Team
Press photo by John Burbridge Charles City freshman Carter Cajthaml (pictured at left) was named to the All-Northeast Iowa Conference Baseball Second Team as an infielder. Cajthaml was the Comets’ starting catcher before a bum glove hand caused by a thumb fracture moved him to the middle infield. Despite the injury, Cajthaml led the Comets in hits (19), walks (20), batting average (.297) and on-base percentage (.477). Not only is he the only Comet named to the All-NEIC Baseball Team, but the only freshman as well.
