LuJayne Hovey

LuJayne Hovey passed away on July 22, 2024, at UTMB Clear Lake Hospital.

She was the wife of George Hovey. They shared 64 years of wedded bliss.

Born in Cresco Iowa. She was the daughter of Lyola and Bess DeWalle.

She attended Crestwood High School.

She will be remembered as a wife, mother, sister and friend. She loved her family as much as they loved her. She always thought of and put family first.

She was predeceased by 2 brothers Duane and Donny DeWalle.

She is survived by her husband George Hovey, sons Michael and Curt Hovey, Grandchildren Melissa Rowe, Alyssa Hovey, Michael Hovey, Kyle Hovey and Michelle Hovey.

Great grandchildren Kaylynn Rowe, Kenlee Behlmer, and Etta Hovey. She is also survived by her brother Alvin DeWalle and sister Betty DeWalle.

Services will be held at Carnes Funeral home 1201 23rd Street Rear, Galveston, Texas at 2 p.m. for the viewing and 3 p.m. for the service.
