Beverly Wolff

Beverly Wolff, 88, of Charles City, passed away Friday, Jan. 21, 2022 at her home with her family by her side.

According to her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services.

Beverly Ann (Shave) Wolff, the daughter of Loren and Viva (Schrader) Shave, was born April 3, 1933 in Charles City. She received her education in Charles City, graduating from Charles City High School in 1951. Beverly was united in marriage to Bobby Wolff on Jan. 18, 1951 at Saint John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Charles City.

Beverly worked in data entry at White Farm until it closed and also served on the White Farm Bargaining Committee. She then worked at Buy Low South, Salsbury Baptist Home and finally opened a daycare with her husband in their home until retirement.

Beverly loved traveling with her family and took many trips together including two cruises. She volunteered as a pink lady at the hospital, at the Treasure Chest and received Volunteer of the Year for the weeding she did along South Grand Avenue.

Beverly enjoyed attending Iowa Hawkeye football games with her husband and going to casinos with him and her granddaughter. She spent time reading her mystery books when she got tired of watching her TV programs. Beverly liked going out to eat and visiting with people she met and was always willing to share her love of baking.

Living family members include her husband of 71 years, Bobby; daughter, Diane (Lee) Winter; daughter-in-law, JD Wolff; grandchildren: Ray (Alison) Wolff, Jon Wolff, Heather Hubka, Tony Winter and Penny Willsher; step-grandchildren: Josh (Clarissa) Osborne, Adam (Amanda) Villhauer and Eric (Hanah) Villhauer; nine great-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; two brothers; one sister; along with many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents; son, Doug; two granddaughters: Tina and Sebrina; and five brothers.
