It was a night of thrilling and chilling music as the Charles City High School Orchestras put on a Masquerade Concert on Tuesday, Oct. 22.
Directed by Christian Paulson and performed at Trinity Methodist Church, the program began with the Wire Choir playing three suspenseful songs to get into the Halloween spirit, “Phantom’s Night,” “Themes from the Moldau,” and “The Evil Eye and the Hideous Heart.”
Following the wire choir, the full orchestra came out, with many members in costume, to perform “Carnival of the Animals,” “Haunted Bridges,” and conclude the concert with “Two Scenes from The Hollow,” a two-movement piece inspired by the Legend of Sleepy Hollow.
